The end of the weekend

Wow. This weekend went past nearly as fast as the week did. I can’t believe it’s Sunday night already.

Like every other person in North America (it seems) we went to see Dark Knight this weekend. I bought tickets online Saturday morning for the 7:20 show Saturday night. Good thing. By noon, every show for the day was sold out. We stood in line for 1:45 to get good seats (and we did) to see the cinematic spectacle.

I gotta hand it to Chris Nolan, he did it right. Dark Knight was everything we were promised it would be. It was dark, full of action, faithful to various parts of the comics (the good ones) and it was fun to watch. Heath Ledger’s Joker was done the way the Joker should be. He was more menacing than Kevin Spacey’s Lex Luthor, that’s for sure. Joker was down right creepy and demented. He was awesome.

Other than that, nothing terribly exciting happened. I did find some time to re-connect with my husband after a week that seemed more like two ships passing in the night. I missed him.
