Weight Loss

So, some of you know I’m trying to lose weight. My peak was about 315lbs when I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. This was about 10 years ago. Right now, I’m at 250 and my goal is 200. It’s tough, but Chris has been motivating me to get to the gym and work at it. It helps. I haven’t been losing, but I feel better.

We’re trying to eat healther too.

This guy (click here) is doing a great job and inspired me to add my progress bar to the head of my blog. Maybe it’ll help.

Surviving Hurricane Wilma

I finally contacted my brother on Sunday. Everyone is fine.

Debbie and Caden evacuated to Sarasota where Debbie’s family is. She came back down last Tuesday and left Caden with the grandparents for a few days. Brad and Debbie both went back up to pick her up on Thursday and got home Sunday. Their house is fine, but most everything they had in the ground level storage is lost, including Brad’s hockey equipment. And apparently that’s not easy to find in Florida.

The Dolphin Research Center suffered under Hurricane Wilma. They’re re-open now, but some of the buildings dating back to the filming of the Flipper TV series were destroyed. All of the dolphins are safe and sound, and survived quite well.

It’s a big relief to hear all of that.
