Starting Again

Now that Chris and I are settled in (mostly, my office is still a mess), I can get back to the business at hand.

I have my own little company called Solar Flare Computing and I try to make a little money. I re-developed a website for my sister-in-law at The Turtle Hospital in Marathon, Florida – you can see it at www.turtlehospital.org. And of course I have my personal site at www.jeffrose.ca. Those I don’t make any money from, nor do I try to.

I also have websites like www.goodveganfood.com, www.dogtrainingplace.com, www.jeffsmovieposters.com, and www.affiliatesuccess.ca – which I DO want to make money from. Now that we’re settled, I can continue development on those websites, plus the 20 or so other business ideas I have, but don’t have time for. There’s never enough time is there?

Another perspective

Just a quick post with a photo of the nearly unpacked new apartment.

That’s the living room. Duh. Just off to the left is the kitchen, bedroom and solarium behind us. You can see we’ve got it pretty much setup. And we have way too many DVD’s hanging out there. Oddly, there was no duplication in our DVD’s except for X-Men 2. Pretty strange huh?

Anyway, there you have it.

It’s over, and it’s awesome.

Well, I didn’t think it could get any worse, but it did. This move was horrendous right up until we got to the new place.

Friday my old landlords called and were mad about the timing of the move, so I rushed home to finish up, clear some space so they could get a headstart on painting. They didn’t show up. We went to Chris’s place and got ready to meet the movers… They were a full 2 hours late. Right as they were arriving, my landlord called and literally screamed at me to put my stuff in a garage, he didn’t care what I did, just get out.

The move outs went on time. My movers were great. It took about 2 1/2 hours over all to move out of both places.

There was a debacle with a couch, but I can’t talk about that.

Saturday, the movers arrived on time, and moved us in very fast. I love them. They’re here in Vancouver and they’re called CityMove. You should give them a call.

Every since then, we’ve been enjoying our new place, and our view and unpacking. We’re nearly at the stage where it looks like we’re living here. 99% of the boxes are unpacked, and my office is about the only place that still needs a lot of work. We love it!
